Big J’s Big Front End Upgrades!

Big J’s Big Front End Upgrades!

The minute the doors opened at Raptor Performance Group we were greeted with open arms in the Raptor Community.  From day one we have made it a priority to treat people like we expect to be treated, and this core philosophy has guided some amazing people through our doors.

One person I would really like to thank is Big J.  He is a person that has never asked us for a handout or a favorable write-up in return for cheap parts.  He did his own homework, was patient and searched for a company that shared his same values and passion for quality design.  He holds true to the engineering mentality of not just wanting to know if something works, but rather why it works, and why is it better than product “x” from our competitors. We have only known Big J for a short amount of time, but it doesn’t take all that long to understand he is a person of many talents. His ability to explain complex things in a simple way makes for great reading and offers other consumers an unbiased tool to help further their decision-making process.  Sometimes it’s nice to get a 3rd parties take on a product before you spend your hard earned money.

About a month or so ago, Big J challenged us to prove him wrong about the bent frame issue.  He let us know he would only purchase an RPG Stage 3 rear suspension kit if his frame was indeed bent.  Needless to say he is now the proud owner a shiny new RPG Stage 3 rear suspension kit with HD springs!!! With the rear now dialed in for Big J’s needs, we needed to turn our attention to the front end.  For thousands of miles, he has been running a leveling spacer that has resulted in some pre-mature wear.  His tie-rods were basically shot and the whole front end just felt tired.  With his new list of growing problems, it’s no surprise we found all 6’9” of him at RPG to install his new 1.5” UCA Race Version, RPG Aluminum Steering Tie Rods and add a small adjustment to raise the perch on the Fox shocks to the 3rd setting.  Needless to say, we ditched the leveling spacer and had a great time spending the afternoon with Big J.  Click here for more of the story.
